time wasters

As discussed here previously, when you host a morning talk show, you spend a lot of time reading "hard news" stories, opinion pieces, polling results, etc. So much time, in fact, that I've just got to give my brain, eyes, and mouse something fun, goofy, strange, or just plain interesting...

As I've mentioned in previous pieces, sometimes even the most focused individuals let their mind wander at times. Being a talk radio host means reading lots (and lots, and lots...) of serious, detailed, and at times really lengthy articles and news stories online...

Doing a news/talk radio show requires a lot of online time. Time spent reading news stories from multiple outlets, background research on hot topics, getting up-to-speed with anything and everything our audience might be interested in, etc...
