Look, I get it. There are very large numbers of people here in Illinois, and the whole country, who are really, really tired of wearing a mask. It's completely understandable. Chicago's indoor mask mandate officially came back into effect this (Friday) morning, and that means residents age two or older must wear masks inside bars and restaurants, stores, theaters, health clubs, and other indoor spaces, whether you've been vaccinated or not.
The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated recommendations for mask-wearing due to the Delta Variant of COVID-19 were recently announced, and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) said last week that they're fully adopting those recommendations.
When the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) says that it is fully adopting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) new masking guidelines, it's a pretty safe bet that others will follow suit.
