This is some of the hardest math I've done in my life. I got curious about how the wealthiest people in the world compare to the richest in Missouri. Would you believe the richest dude I could find anywhere around the globe is apparently more than 25 times wealthier than Missouri's top guy?

I know what you're thinking, and I'm sure you're right; you will probably show up on next year's list, since you've obviously been overlooked once again by those bean-counters hanging around the break room at Forbes.

If you want billionaires, you don't have to look outside Illinois' borders to find a bunch of them. 24/7 Wall Street says that Illinois is home to 17 billionaires, with 11 in Chicago and 2 in Highland Park.

I always look forward to reading the annual Forbes "World Billionaire's List." It's the reading equivalent of binge-watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. I don't even mind that my chances of making the billionaires list is just about the same as it was being adored on camera by Robin Leach.
