How in the world could a mural of Cookie Monster upset someone, you ask? Well, when it gets painted onto a building without asking the building's owner if it's okay.

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB), along with Mayor Tom McNamara and the City of Rockford, announced plans for CRE8IV: transformational ART, a new mural festival that will take place at various locations in downtown Rockford.

The mural is a week-long project painted on the building at Eddie Green Place, 331 East State Street, in downtown Rockford.

If it's been awhile since you've taken a museum road-trip to Chicago, and you love to save money, some Chicago museums have quite a deal for you.

If you've always wanted to do a paint party there's a great place in Rockton you should got to. My friends and I enjoyed our time there when we went. However, I must warn you that your painting days here are numbered.

The Kiwanis Club of Rockford will present the 2nd Annual Budding Artists Fundraiser on Friday, May 15, 2015 at The Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Club, 5151 Guilford Road, Rockford, Illinois.  The event will be 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Budding Artists provides an opportunity for selected art students from Rockford Public, Boylan Catholic, and Lutheran High Schools to showcase and earn money from their art at a gala
