A very special Veterans Day event will be held at a historic landmark in Illinois.

What Is Soldier Field?

On the surface, the question "what is Soldier Field" seems like a pretty simple one with an easy answer. For several, it is the longtime home of the Chicago Bears. The Chicago Fire plays there too. There are also many concerts and other entertainment events held in the venue.

Well, if you answered it that way, then you are partially right. There is a lot more to it than that. Soldier Field has a much deeper meaning to many residents of Illinois. So, what is this iconic stadium?
