Rockford Fire Department is Hiring 911 Telecommunicators
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced all of us to make a lot of changes. The way we conduct our daily lives looks different right now, many people are out work, and we've all had to take a hard look at our priorities.
If you simply need a job, or you have been wanting to change your career path into something more stable, you should totally apply to be a 911 Telecommunicator with the City of Rockford.
The Rockford Fire Department is currently accepting applications for 911 Telecommunicators, and job qualifications include:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Past experience in fast paced, highly stressful situations preferred
- Must be able to type 45 words per minute and pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
The starting wage for 911 Telecommunicators is $22.51 per hour and includes health, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Interested candidates must submit their application by November 6, 2020 to be considered for employment.
