Rock Valley College Launches Celebration to Mark 50th Anniversary

A year-long celebration of Rock Valley College's 50th anniversary will kick off with a special event this week.

Beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, the college will reveal its 50th anniversary logo and share plans for multiple events planned later this year to mark the 50 years. Several speakers will share stories, including RVC's President MIke Mastroianni.

Rock Valley College was created in October of 1964, after a district-wide referendum. Classes began in September of 1965. RVC's main campus opened one year later.
