While in Washington, Riley & I had the opportunity to visit the offices of Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas, who also serves as Rules Committee Chairman. Why he thinks it's a good use of his time to hang out with two yahoos from Illinois is anyone's guess, but we're happy about it.

In truth the Congressman struck up a friendship with the show while he was Chairman of the NRCC and in the midst of helping to engineer the big GOP wave election of 2010. A part of that effort was in Illinois' 17th Congressional District, where Bobby Schilling would go on to victory. We checked in on the status of the race from time-to-time and just haven't stopped talking since.

Now, because most of our radio interviews are in-depth, policy-based discussions, we tried to use a lighter hand in our video conversation. Below you’ll find out:

  • One thing he doesn't like about Texas
  • Why the Boy Scouts are so great
  • His best day on the job in D.C.

And we find out he's a big fan of the Flat Tax! Thanks to the Congressman for taking time to chat with us:
