Well, the newer, higher-tech clocks will. The old ones still require a manual change.

Whether you're in the majority of Americans who are sick and tired of this whole spring-forward-fall-back thing, or the distinct minority who either don't mind or even like the procedure, that time of year is upon us once again.

The change occurs at 2 a.m. Rockford time this Sunday, March 8th. Many people like to set their clocks ahead before going to bed Saturday night. Others love to be surprisingly early for church the next day. The shift moves one hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. Public safety officials say it’s also a good time to check smoke alarms and see if they need new batteries.

Daylight saving time ends when we “fall back” one hour on Sunday, November 1st, 2020.
