A website took the time to rank the "Rudest" states in America and somehow Illinois landed in the Top 5... We disagree with them completely, but here is what they had to say as to why the Land of Lincoln should be called the Land of Rudeness...

According to the website thegetaway.com, Illinois comes in as the 5th rudest state in the country behind only Nevada in first followed by, Michigan, Rhode Island, and Maryland. Why does Illinois land so high up on this rudeness list? On the site they say...

"Home to Chicago, one of the busiest cities in the country following New York City, is also home to its fair share of rude residents...The state is also known for its versatile weather, meaning residents have to do double the laundry to keep up with the unpredictable changes... Illinois residents tend to be loyal, and if you have anything bad to say about their state, their response may come off as less than polite."

I will say the fact that Illinois finishes ahead of both New Jersey and New York on this list is just crazy! I get it that people in Chicago aren't all saints, but I lived in Chicago for years and I would have people from out of town praise how kind Chicagoans were compared to city folk on the East Coast. Not to mention Illinois is sooooo much more than just Chicago, the rest of the state that isn't Chicago is filled with hard-working kind small-town people, not fair at all that Illinois is this high on the list, I don't think it should be on the list at all, do you?
