One Dead In I-90 Crash

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near Riverside that left eastbound traffic backed up for hours.

According to a press release, a preliminary traffic crash investigation reveals the driver of a Dodge Ram lost control and struck the left wall, swerving back to the right striking a Dodge Van. The Dodge Ram then struck the left wall again rolling over. An unrestrained passenger in the Dodge Ram was ejected from the vehicle.

Officials say 22-year-old Giovan Guzman of Elmwood Park, Ill., was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No word yet on any charges that might be filed in the crash, nor on the condition of the two drivers involved.
