Here is a list of five things you can do this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. Obviously this isn't everything you can do, but if you don't have plans yet, it's a good place to start.

1. Rockford IceHogs Western Conference Championship Game 5
This one largely depends on whether the IceHogs can win a game or not. They are currently down three games to none and their backs are against the wall. IF they win tonight (Thursday), Game 5 of the series will be tomorrow night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. You can win tickets from me in the afternoon with the Dealer's Choice Countdown on Q98.5. It normally kicks off around 4:25...ish. LET'S GO HOGS!

2. Spend the day at Pierce Lake in Rock Cut State Park
The outdoor store is the main concession for Rock Cut.  At the outdoor store you will find live bait, minnows, ice, firewood, fishing tackle, candy, ice cream, and a variety of picnic and camping supplies. So, whether it's camping under the stars or fishing on the lake. This park has everything you need for a great Memorial Day Weekend.

3. Spend a day with the family at the theater
Yes, I know. I am telling you to spend the day inside on what looks to be a beautiful weekend ahead of us. I mean, it's just one day. You have some great movies waiting for you, and the rest of the weekend to do whatever you want. Solo hits theaters this weekend and Star Wars fans are ready to go! Don't let the spoilers spill out and ruin your experience. Get in there and watch it with the fam!

4. Join the festivities at the Young At Heart Festival
The festivities will be going on all weekend long. Midday Michelle from 97ZOK will be their Friday night and I will be there from 8:30-10:30 on Saturday. There will be a laundry list of things going on so do yourself a favor and check out the details. This would be a very fun thing to do with the entire family. Plus, you'll have a chance to see Warner Bros Nashville recording artist RaeLynn!

5. Spend the day at Magic Waters
It took a while, but it's hot now. One of many ways to cool down will be at Magic Waters as they reopen for the season Saturday, May 26th. Plan your day HERE and kick off Memorial Day weekend at Rockford's water park!
