Man Dead In Aurora After Van Gets Trapped Under Semi-Trailer
According to ABC 7 Chicago, "An Aurora man died Thursday after he was involved in a DUI crash that left him pinned in a minivan beneath the trailer of a semi in the west suburb, police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Commons and McCoy drive near Fox Valley Mall around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday."
This is the second vehicular death in the area in less than 24 hours. Kyle Ramos of Freeport was killed after his motorcycle crashed into a highway embankment according to the Illinois State Police District 16.
It is summertime so people will be all over the roadways. Like every single day. Do not drink and drive. Do not text and drive. Don't drive with road rage (easier said than done). And don't text and drive. We have got to keep our wits about us and pay attention. Even if you're driving safe that doesn't mean others are. It's a team effort and everyone wants to arrive alive.
We would like to send our condolences to both families.
