Having been born and raised here in Illinois, and having repeated the pattern with my own children, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I tend to think that there might be more than two cities in this entire state that are great places to raise a family.
I once saw a person get up and leave a live comedy show, saying that they "didn't feel safe there" because the headlining comedian had behaved inappropriately in his private life. Not feeling safe because of that struck me as being far more unreasonable than not feeling safe where you live.
According to the Chicago Tribune, "an Aurora police officer who was fired for secretly installing cameras he later used to spy on his ex-wife should get his job back."
This blows my mind. How could this union be going to bat for him?
