The Verve Pipe, who had a monster hit in 1996, 'The Freshman', re-worked some lyrics to Cheap Trick's song 'Surrender' to speak to anti-vaxxers.

Most days, I'm exhausted by the anit-vax / pro-vax argument. It also frustrates me seeing our hospitals (and their employees) pushed beyond their limits to treat so many unvaccinated patients.

Everyday is a struggle to protect myself and others, but the trend is obvious. Getting vaccinated won't keep me from getting covid, but it greatly reduces the chances of me needing the hospital or dying. The majority of people suffering in hospital ICUs are not vaccinated.

Is this the pandemic of the unvaccinated?

Much of the world believe that statement above to be true. I feel like the members of The Verve Pipe would certainly agree with it as they just shared a video of their rendition of Cheap Trick's Surrender to encourage more to get the covid vaccine.

Mother told me

Yes she told me

I'd meet some like you

She also told stay away

You'll never know what you'll catch

Just the other day I heard of another variant

Some Covid-19 junk that's going 'round

Mommy's alright

Daddy's alright

They just seem a little weird

Surrender

Surrender

And get yourself vaccinated

.....aaaaated

Todayyyyyyyyyy!
