With so much to see and do, it's no wonder thousands of people will be heading to downtown Rockford this Saturday for the annual Stroll on State holiday celebration!

If you've never been to Stroll on State before, here's a couple things you MUST do when planning your stroll.

  1. Have a parking and carpool plan ready, especially if you have a big group of people going together. Shuttle buses are available at the YMCA downtown, Heartland Church on South Alpine and the Illinois Bank & Trust location at 4048 East State Street.
  2. Wear comfortable walking shoes and your warm, festive best.
  3. Have lots of room on your camera!
  4. Bring lots of patience for dealing with a BIG crowd.

With so many activities, performances, and things to see and do, it really is helpful to have an idea of what you want to see so you can have a plan of action. With so many people in downtown Rockford for this event, wandering around aimlessly looking for attractions is chaotic. Hopefully this list of event times and locations will help you get the most out of your Stoll on State.
