Holiday Tradition Returns To Illinois And Needs Help
Help is needed for returning holiday tradition in Illinois.
It Really Is Not Too Early To Start Thinking Holidays
Okay, I would like to apologize for bringing up the "H" (holiday) word so far in advance. I realize we have not even gotten to Halloween yet but some things need advance planning.
Holiday Family Traditions
I think just about everyone has at least one-holiday tradition in their family. Even the Grinch and Scrooge had their annual "complaining about Christmas" tradition. Some of those activities could be passed down from generation to generation or, maybe, completely new.
My Favorite Family Holiday Tradition
I have my own family tradition that started when I was a child and continues now with my own family. Each year during the holidays, we head to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago to see the "Christmas Trees from Around the World."
Recent Event Added To Family Holiday Tradition
There is a more recent event that has been added to my family traditions. That is Stroll of State right here in Rockford. We have been going for several years now. It is a fun way to kick off the holiday season.
Stroll On State Is Back
Unfortunately, Stroll on State was canceled last year. If you have not heard the good news yet, it is coming back this year. "Save the Date" Saturday, November 27th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) in downtown Rockford.
