Large Job Fair Set For Thursday in Belvidere

Jobseekers across the Stateline area have a great opportunity this week to network and possibly find a new career.

The Workforce Connection is holding its annual January Career Expo and Job Fair Thursday, January 29, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Building Complex, located at 111 West 1st Street in Belvidere.

According to a press release, more than 50 employers, employment and staffing agencies and education and training providers have reserved booth space for the job fair. Employment and training opportunities are available in manufacturing, health care, customer service, logistics, clerical, sales and other job sectors.

And because the event is expected to draw interest from across the area, the Rock River Training Corporation is running a shuttle bus from downtown Rockford to the event. To reserve a spot you're asked to call 815-847-7574. Officials say there's also a bus stop on the RMTD Belvidere route one block from the job fair site.
