Illinois is famous for its food and festivals, and now a new event is combining them for a tasty summer experience.

Italian Beef Fest Returns To Illinois This Summer

When I was growing up, I was a very picky eater. My list of acceptable foods for meals was very short. It was funny, because I could eat the items I liked over and over. One of the things that made my list of favorite foods was the Italian beef sandwich. Back in those days, there were "mom and pop" Italian beef stands all over the place. Each of them had its own flavor, so I would never get sick of eating them.

Now it’s time to honor this local legend at the inaugural Chicago Italian Beef Fest! Taking over Jefferson Memorial Park, this mouthwatering celebration will feature some of Chicagoland’s favorite restaurants serving up their unique takes on the iconic sandwich.
