Rockford’s Friday Night Flix Looking For New Vendors For 2025
Save the date! We found out the three dates Friday Night Flix is happening at the Coronado this summer; June 13th, July 11th, and August 1st. The movies aren't revealed yet, but there are a few things we do know!
Friday Night Flix has moved from Davis Park to the Coronado while Davis Park undergoes renovations, but the event itself is still free to get into.
"With the generous help of sponsors, Friday Night Flix has been a well-attended and FREE community event in Downtown Rockford since 2010. In summer of 2025, guests will be welcome to enjoy food trucks and activities outside the Coronado Theatre before the movie plays inside our beautiful, historic theatre!" [FNF]

Kids activities, games, and food vendors will be there, as well. Same experience, different setting! Now, they're looking for even more vendors to be at all three nights. If you're a food vendor or have engaging activities to keep families entertained before the movie starts, fill out their application here!
What movies are you hoping they feature? Lots of suggestions on Facebook:
- Moana
- Star Wars
- Little Mermaid
- Hercules
- Lion King
- Wicked
- The Godfather
- The Three Stooges
I'm thinking Mary Poppins or Tarzan and wouldn't be surprised if Moana played!
This is just one of many free family-friendly events happening in Rockford. I'm also excited for Art Scene in April, live music on patios and Dinner on the Dock at Prairie Street. Chicago has a ton of free things to do this spring, too. Free museum days, local markets, and sightseeing at Navy Pier! Find out how to have a budget-friendly April here.
