The organization that runs amateur athletics in the country is going to have to tighten its belt. 

APNews - Starting Sept. 21 through the end of January 2021, all national office staff will be subjected to a mandatory three-week furlough, Emmert wrote. Some staff will be furloughed up to eight weeks, depending on position and “seasonal timing of their duties.”

The article goes on to say that the furloughs "will not affect senior executives," although most already to a 10-20% pay cut months ago.

The March Madness cancellation was a major loss of revenue for the NCAA and a football season that looks tenuous at best with 2 of the Power 5 conferences already bowing out.

The per school distribution from the NCAA dropped from an expected $600 million to $225 million, close to a 60% loss of expected revenue.

Plans are already being made, and trademarks are being filed, to play college basketball in a bubble this year if things aren't back to normal soon. Which they don't appear to be right now.
