There are few things that break my heart more than seeing dogs and cats sitting in a cage waiting for a new, loving family to come and rescue them. Don't get wrong, animal shelters in the Stateline area take great care of the pets that stay with them. They do everything they can to keep their lives enriched, but there is still no place like home, right?

If you've been thinking of adding a new furry family member to your crew, this weekend is a great time to do it at Winnebago County Animal Services in Rockford.
