I like to think that I'm up to date on food trends and local delicacies from around the country. This one totally missed my radar.

The Twitter account @nowthisnews posted this video earlier this morning.

It shows what they claim to be the "beloved Midwestern" meal consisting of a cinnamon roll and chili.

An explanation for my ignorance can be found in the minute long video. They explain that this combo is apparently big in states like Nebraska, Kansas, Montana, and Georgia. The fact that only two of those states (and I consider Nebraska and Kansas to be Great Plain states, a distinction that I don't expect someone from one of the coasts to make) can be called "Midwestern" could be part of the problem.

After a bit of research (googling) it looks like this went viral last year about this time with a Buzzfeed article.

I still feel like this is some sort of a hoax. Don't get me wrong, I'll try this. I'm just not paying for it.
