We've already had two snow events this week, with more predicted before the end of the weekend. Maybe a few "life hacks" for getting rid of the snow will make it a little easier on you.

Or, in our house, easier on my snow-shoveling maniac wife, Amy. Yes, in the interests of full disclosure, I must admit that Amy does roughly 99.99% of the snow shoveling at our house. Before you think that I'm some mean guy who demands that my wife get out there in the thick of a blizzard, let me explain.

She actually loves to do it. Seriously. She enjoys the physical workout she gets from shoveling so much, that I have been forbidden to purchase a snow-blower--unless I'd like to spend the rest of the winter months on the couch. Maybe she enjoys the solitude (or the fact that she gets some quiet time away from me) in addition to the workout, or maybe she's just nuts--I have my theories.

Anyway, take a look at a couple of ideas you may want to try out later this week (or possibly even tonight):

How about using your leafblower?

Or, a big piece of plywood...

Or, trick the kids into thinking that you're building a snowman...

Don't be this guy, though...
