Freshman Wins Free Tuition at Ball State

For all of us who've ever written a tuition check for a college education (ours or our offspring's), this is a pretty sweet shot.

Lem Turner, from Illinois, and an incoming freshman at Ball State University, nailed the halfcourt shot in front of 3600 or so classmates the other night, thus insuring that his folks (or student loan officer) wouldn't be cutting a big check for his university matriculation.

I've got to figure that his parents were leaping with joy right along with Lem.
