Former Rockford Lightning Head Coach Shares Pictures And Stories

Chris Daleo, the former head coach of the Rockford Lightning, shares some stories and pictures from his time with the team.

The 40th anniversary of the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford is in 2021. Unfortunately, having a big party to celebrate is not an option at this point. Hopefully, later this year. There is a lot of great history in our downtown arena, so I thought it would be fun to go back and relive some of these memorable moments. Special thanks to LawnCare By Walter.

I have so many great memories with my family and friends from attending events at the BMO. Many of them include sports. One team I get asked about all the time is the Rockford Lightning. They were a CBA basketball team back in the day.

I got to be good friends with their head coach, Chris Daleo. In fact, I still keep in touch with him to this day. He would come on my radio show all the time. Plus, I would participate in some fun promotions with the team. I also got to know several of the players, staff, and dance team.
