Five of America’s Top Summer ‘Traveling Exhibits’ are in Illinois
Summer is rapidly coming to a close but that doesn't mean there still isn't plenty to do.
I guess I never thought how lucky we got here in Illinois when it comes to attractions.
For all the bellyaching the state receives it could be worse, we could be in some other state with literally nothing to do but complain about how there is nothing to do.
Anyway, just the other day I was looking around for how I could fill-up the rest of my summer calendar and I noticed Mediafeed put together a list of This Summer's Best Traveling Exhibits.
I was even more stunned when I noticed not one, or two but five different traveling exhibits are in Chicago this summer but only for a limited time.
Now, I've already been to one of them, and boy let me tell you, it was totally worth the money. I'll get to that in a second.
Here are the five exhibits in Chicago this summer that will be going away at some point this year:
The Obama Portraits at Art Institute of Chicago
Frida Kahlo: Timeless at Cleve Carney Museum of Art
Marvel: Universe of Superheroes at Museum of Science and Industry
Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Jane Goodall at The Field Museum
Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit at Lighthouse ArtSpace at Germania Club
Obviously, you'll need to make the trek into Chicago in order to hit up most of these places, but it will be worth it.
If you're like me and only can really do one at a time or maybe just one before the summer ends, hit up the Marvel exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry.
It was one of the biggest and best exhibits I have ever witnessed. It's totally worth the time, money, and effort.
