CDC Gets Backlash After Telling Consumers Not To Wash Chicken
The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) apparently didn't realize that feelings about clean chicken run pretty hot...but they know that now.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) tweeted a warning a few days ago to consumers not to wash raw chicken, and some people took it personally.
Personally, I took no offense to their suggestion--but I'm not really that passionate about chicken. Other folks, it seems, found the warning to be very similar to a good slap in the face.
Lighten up, says the CDC:
Well...that bit of advice seems to have gone over very well.
