When I think about the technological and aesthetic changes and developments I'd like to see in the "airplane cabin of the future," I can really only think of one thing that would make flying more pleasant for me: more leg room. That's it. At six feet three inches, that would make all the difference in the world to me. The other bells and whistles that Boeing's engineers are coming up with are cool, don't get me wrong, but I'd trade them all for about 5 more inches of leg space.

In a good news/bad news scenario (especially for people with complaints similar to mine), Boeing says they've got some really cool plans for the interior of airplanes, but...leg room is really not that high on their priority list.

What are they working on? Glad you asked.

Maybe enough time spent in the lounge will make me sleepy enough to forget I'm shoe-horned into my seat between two extremely large and talkative people. Maybe not.
