Rockford is home to so many delicious local foods for people to enjoy. Some are so good, that I think they deserve to be praised on a much larger scale!

I don't eat out often in the area, but when I do I have my personal favorites. If there's a spot I love, I'm for sure going to be a known and loyal customer. Here are some of my favorite local eats that I think everyone should be aware of and try!

Rockford Foods That Visitors Need To Try

Nunzio's Pizza

You've heard me say this before, but Nunzio's pizza is the best in the area in my opinion. Rockford has many spots for good pizza, but this restaurant is a must-try for visitors.

I'm always an excited, happy camper when I get pizza from here. This spot does not disappoint and it deserves praise!

Mrs. Fisher's Chips

A go-to that is a perfect fit to go with any sandwich. I thought at first these were just an Illinois thing, but it was so cool learning that it's a local product!

Prairie Street Brewing Co. Cheese Curds

UGH, this is the best spot to get cheese curds. Especially if you hit up their food truck, it's insane how many dipping sauce options they offer. These are well-known in the community for a reason, so I think it's safe to say that... they're good!

Wired Cafe Cookies

These cookies are absolutely insane! And now I know where I'm headed for lunch. Yes, their sandwiches are great. But these cookies are the size of your head!

They're massive and amazing! If you haven't tried these yet, you definitely need to. Especially if you go there at lunchhour, you might even get them when they're right out of the oven!
