It's been a rough few hours throughout the Midwest this morning, thanks to a wide-ranging snow band working its way across our region.

There are the smaller problems like plowing the streets and postponing garbage pick-up, then there are the bigger ones like a plane sliding off a runway at O'Hare Airport around 8:00 this morning.

According to American Airlines, American Eagle flight 4125 slid off the runway due to icy conditions. All 38 passengers and three crew members were removed from the aircraft and transported safely back to the terminal.

The Chicago Fire Department confirmed no one was injured and that the situation is secured.

No further information was provided at this time.

As of 8 a.m., 189 flights were canceled at O'Hare International Airport while 93 flights were canceled at Midway International Airport due to snowy weather conditions.

Here's what it looked like from a passenger's perspective this morning:

The good news is that despite needing to take the plane to a local body shop to have the dents pounded out, everyone on board is okay.
