‘Ask The Mayor’ Highlights: Morrissey on Express Bus Service [AUDIO]

In the March edition of ‘Ask the Mayor,’ Larry Morrissey responded to a caller question about the possibility of adding express bus service from Rockford to a Metra stop in Elgin.

The Mayor told Michael Koolidge that it's a topic that has been discussed previously. Whether it's run by the RMTD or a private contractor, he says an important step is having the Tollway Authority identify the "express lane" on I-90 and the rules surrounding it. He also explained that over the past few years, RMTD has been building to become a more empowered facility in order to be prepared for bus or commuter rail management.
