Laced Drugs Have Hospitalized 17 Northeastern Illinois Residents
WREX is reporting that "Officials say 17 people in Northeastern Illinois have now been hospitalized due to cannabinoids that could be laced with rat poison."
No, this is not from marijuana. It is, however, from its synthetic cousin. You probably shouldn't let this situation affect your voting yes or no on the November ballot. God made marijuana but man failed miserably trying to copy it.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse:
"People who have used synthetic cannabinoids and have been taken to emergency rooms have shown severe effects including: rapid heart rate, vomiting, violent behavior, and suicidal thoughts... Use of these drugs is associated with a rising number of deaths."
There have been no cases in Winnebago County.
