You might like burgers, but how much do you really like them?

Fun fact for you - Seymour, Wisconsin is apparently the birthplace of the hamburger. That fact might not be 100% correct, but the history of where the burger was created is pretty fuzzy. However, a lot of signs point back to Seymour. Wiki details -

One of the earliest claims comes from Charlie Nagreen, who in 1885 sold a meatball between two slices of bread at the Seymour Fair now sometimes called the Outagamie County Fair. The Seymour Community Historical Society of Seymour, Wisconsin, credits Nagreen, now known as "Hamburger Charlie", with the invention.

Either way, Seymour totally embraces the title. One of the ways they celebrate is their annual Burger Fest.

Let's talk about some of the Burger Fest highlights ...

  • Hot air balloon rides
  • Ketchup Slip & Slide
  • 200 LB Burger
  • Hamburger eating contest
  • Live music
  • World's largest hamburger parade
  • Fun run
  • Car show
  • Tons of kid's activities

What more could you ask for? So let's take a look at some of the fun. First let's start with the absolutely MASSIVE burger. This year they are planning on making it 200 pounds.

But the ridiculous fun doesn't stop there!

Our very own Midday Michelle LOVES ketchup more than any human I've ever met. But I don't think even she would try this ketchup slip n' slide. Would you?

Honestly, it looks fun. I just don't want to smell like ketchup for the next week.

Whether you're down to slide or just there for a great burger, you should definitely put this burger fest on your summer calendar. This year's fest starts on August 14.
