Wisconsin Is The Binge Drinking Capitol Of The United States

I don't know if you've ever noticed, but people in Wisconsin like to drink a lot.

If you are looking for a place to party in the Midwest, Wisconsin is your place.  It could be for a long weekend, vacation, or just for a night. Doesn't matter if it's Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter, there's always some sort of party going on.

Wisconsin has great festivals like Summerfest in Milwaukee. Or, you can tailgate like a rockstar for the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. Don't forget about tossing a few back while fishing, hunting, and camping.

Plus, most towns have their own little tavern.

Definitely, sounds like a place to party. Now, the state is nationally known for their drinking habits.

• A new study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows 1 in 4 Wisconsin residents binge drink at least once a month.
• The study defines binge drinking as when a woman has four or more drinks or a man has five or more drinks during a short period of time.
• The study found that Wisconsin binge drinkers had an average of almost 490 binge drinks per year. That exceeds the national average of almost 470 drinks.

Maybe that's why they are allowed to get so many O.W.I.'s there?
