As a deadly wildfire continues to spread in northern California, one person recorded video of a harrowing escape to a safer place. If you've never driven through a wildfire (and I certainly hope you haven't had the need to) you'll want to see this.

The YouTube user says the was the drive out of Anderson Springs on Saturday night. Officials say at least one person has died and over 400 homes and businesses have been destroyed by this blaze. According to Fox News:

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman Lynn Valentine said officials had confirmed one fatality, though she had no immediate information on the deceased. She added that the the fire has destroyed 400 homes, two apartment complexes and 10 businesses. Most of the destruction occurred in the communities of Middletown and Hidden Valley Lake, as well as homes along a shuttered highway.

Meanwhile, wildfires in Oregon and Washington continue. You can find the latest info from that region here.
