This is regarded by some as the best game ever pitched. 

I remember exactly where I was when this happened. It was a day game and I was sitting in my dorm room when I flipped over to the game in the 2nd inning. The Cub's rookie already had 4 strikeouts and looked untouchable. He would prove to be exactly that the rest of the game as he went on to set the major league record of recording 20 strikeouts in one game.

I think this GIF right here sums up just how hard it was to hit Wood that day.

Just ridiculous movement from two balls that look almost identical coming out of the pitcher's hand.

Injuries, unfortunately, cut Kerry Wood's career much shorter than Cub fans would have liked but he was one of the all-time greats and I'll always have the fond memory of experiencing that game alone in my dorm room on a random weekday afternoon. That's what makes baseball so great and I can't wait to get it back.
