There's much at stake on the November ballot here in Illinois, with the Governor's race taking top billing. But across the country, as we've discussed on the show, control of the U.S. Senate also is at stake.

Recent polling gives Republicans a good shot at winning the 51 seats needed to make Mitch McConnell the new Senate majority leader. But with a couple of weeks to go until Election Day there's still much that can change is these races.

This week, Michael Warren joined "Riley & Scot" to give us a status check on a number of Senate battles across the country. Michael is a staff writer at the Weekly Standard. His most recent piece asks whether Cory Gardner is beginning to pull away in Colorado, which would be a somewhat unexpected GOP pickup.
