With health concerns about vaping being top-of-mind in Wisconsin (and the rest of the nation), the City of Beloit passed a vaping ordinance Tuesday night to limit the use of the product.
16 individuals in Milwaukee have been hospitalized as of August 28th with severe pneumonitis, or chemical pneumonia, which is inflammation of the lungs due to aspiration or inhalation of irritants.
The individual, who recently vaped, has died after being hospitalized with a severe respiratory illness, the Illinois Department of Public Health said.
Vaping appears to have replaced cigarettes as the primary nicotine delivery device for teens, and the Illinois Department of Public Health has some concerns.
