'Tis the season to gift Rockford sock monkeys.

It's always cool to see folks from Rockford and the Rockford area turn up on a nationally syndicated TV game show, win or lose.

Not only did Sheri Holcomb walk away with winnings, but her time on the show also gave her a new outlook on teaching.

Having lived in Rockford and the Rockford area for my entire life, I couldn't pry my eyes off the link that alert WROK Morning Show Listener Mike sent me earlier this morning. The link took me to a video, and the video, featuring Rockford TV commercials from around 1980, threw me into a time warp.

If you bought a cell phone, monitor, laptop, or TV you might be able to get your hands some money for those purchases.

It's 'snot' that funny, oh yes it is.

Of all the great innovations that TV has introduced to sports coverage, my vote would be for instant replay. No, not the instant replay that's being used across the sports spectrum to correct/confirm calls by the officials, but rather the concept of seeing something that just happened all over again...
