This reminds me of the nursery rhyme about the man who swallowed the spider to catch a fly. In this case, it's the reportedly true story of invasive tropical birds that have been spotted in Illinois and it's all because of bad snails.

Around our house, we had a rule when the kids were younger: don't say you hate any food that you've never tried. If you do, you'll have to try it. As a matter of fact, we'll probably make you try all kinds of things anyway. Now, to be fair, we did not make our kids continue to eat things that they had tried and despised (unlike my parents)...
