The State of Illinois estimates that there are between 15 and 18 percent of Illinois drivers out there driving without car insurance. Since we have an estimated 8.5 million drivers in our state, that means there are around 1.5 million people driving uninsured.
With the amount of delays and postponements in almost every aspect of our lives that we've had to deal with over the last year, why not add in one more?

If you've received a text message offering you the chance to update or "upgrade" your Illinois Driver's License to an Illinois Real ID, let's hope you deleted it and blocked the sender.
