A vote could take place Tuesday afternoon (perhaps by the time you read this) on a new pension reform plan for Illinois.  State Sen. Dave Syverson joined "Riley & Scot" to discuss the bill.  While he didn't straight-out say he'd be a "yes" vote, it certainly seemed that was the way he was leaning.  He told us:

Doing nothing just leads to insolvency and that could lead to the uncertainty of pensions even being given out.  So we do need to get this resolved and unfortunately, with one party controlling everything, this is the only reform bill that we're going to get to take a look at.

We also asked him whether the bill goes far enough to solve the pension problem and if those supporting the measure might simply be helping Governor Quinn in his re-election fight.
