I'll admit it. I'm a little bit "old school." I love barbershop quartets, and all that goes with them. When I was a kid, I always enjoyed hearing my dad sing with the Rockford Barbershoppers. He wasn't the best singer, but what he lacked in talent, he more than made up for in enthusiasm.

That's one of the many reasons why I'm so looking forward to this Saturday night at the Rockford Woman's Club, 317 Park Avenue. Saturday is The Rockford Barbershoppers 66th Annual Show, and once again this year (I think it's my 10th) they've been kind enough to ask me to emcee the event.

And, what a show it's going to be! Here's the details:

What: The Rockford Barbershop Chorus 66th Annual Show "Back in the Old Routine"

Where: Rockford Theatre at the Rockford Woman's Club, 317 Park Avenue, downtown Rockford

When: This Saturday, October 18th, two shows. Matinee at 2pm, and the evening show at 7pm.
