I'm kind of on a scientific bender today. Earlier, I posted a piece on backyard science experiments involving a watermelon, a swimming pool, and molten aluminum. As I mentioned, I'm getting to see more experimentation than I ever got in high school.

The video below takes us out of the backyard and onto the stage at the TED conference (TED is technology, entertainment, and design), where "the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less)."
