Last October the Bishoff family lost their house to a three-alarm fire.

No one was injured but the house and most everything in it was totally destroyed.

A fundraiser will be held next Saturday, November 23 from 6-11PM at the Mary's Market in Roscoe to help them recover.

From their press release:

The Bishoff's closest friends, pupils, and appreciators are organizing this fundraiser to provide telief to them in this challenging time. With this event, the Bishoff's "extended family" wish to offer something in return to their supporters with no obligation for further donations. While donations are greatly appreciated, there will also be a silent auction of music memorabilia from Rockford's own, Bun E. Carlos and items from local businesses that were generously donated. Concert tickets and backstage passes were donated by Reo Speedwagon, and Styx, along with a Styx guitar, signed by all of the members of Styx.... There will be no cover charge to enter and enjoy the evening.

Entertainment at the event will be provided by Forest City Sound with many special guests from the area.

It will be a great time for a great cause. These are the kind of events that can bring a community together.
