ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — A jury has found a 71-year-old Rockford man guilty of sexually abusing a child in 2007.

Richard McClung was convicted Thursday of criminal sexual abuse of child in Winnebago County, State's Attorney Joe Bruscato said. He was arrested in 2011 after a girl told authorities he had abused her in August 2007 when she was 8 years old, the Rockford Register Star reported. She is now 15.

McClung was found not guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and related charges. He was previously convicted of the criminal sexual abuse of a 6-year-old girl in 2006 and was sentenced to probation that included mandated counseling.

He faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
