Rockford Family Puts Up A Very Cool Synced-Light Display
If you think you've got to take a road trip into the burbs to catch a high-tech, light-synced Christmas light display, Rockford's Andrew Plett is going to save you some gas money.
Every year around this time, you can do a little bit of searching on YouTube to find those houses around the country with the really cool Christmas light displays that incorporate thousands of lights, music, and computer technology. Many of those displays are spectacular, but they're not around here, so seeing them online is about as close as you're going to get.
Until now.
From 13 WREX News:
Andrew Plett has set up a Christmas light show at his house on 1655 Divine Dr. The show includes several lights, pixel trees and music that is transmitted to people’s vehicles through a low power FM transmitter. Plett says this is the first year he has done a light show.
“I think it brings a positive energy to the community and the neighborhood,” Plett said. “I’ve had multiple positive comments from neighbors and lots of people stop by and watch the show.”
The light show runs each night from 5 – 9 p.m.
