Red Cross Offers $5 Amazon Gift Card For Your Type O Blood

The American Red Cross is coming up short in the blood department, particularly "Type-O" blood, and they need your help right now.

Facing a less than two-day supply of the universal red cell donor, the Red Cross says that they'll give a $5 Amazon Gift Card (for a limited time) to those who are willing to roll up a sleeve in response to the shortage.

Red Cross is asking eligible type O donors to make an appointment. For those who donate blood or platelets from May 14th to June 10th, they will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card via email.

It's simple and easy to give blood, and the good people at the Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC) will make it as painless and comfortable as they possibly can.
