$30 Million Dollar Cars, Planes, and Trains Coming To Small Illinois Airport

The Northern Illinois area may not have an airshow but there's a brand new annual event kicking off at Rochelle Municipal Airport in September. The five-hour event, Planes, Trains & Automobiles- A Century In Motion, will serve to purpose; to benefit the efforts of the  Rochelle Area Community Foundation and provide fun for the whole family.

There couldn't be a better fitting name for this event. (It should be noted there are no movie tie-ins.) The event will feature some spectacular machines, including planes, trains, and yes, automobiles. These aren't just average pieces of machinery, these are rare, vintage, or worth tens of millions of dollars.

The event, on September 10, 2020, will feature unique aircraft and train exhibits, including a train cabin guests can explore. Something guests will also see are some of the most unique and exotic vehicles in the world from The Hamilton Collection of Chicago.

Not only will guests be able to view those cars in person, but there will even be drag races on Rochelle Municipal Airport's runway involving vehicles worth up to $30 million dollars.

This event will no be free, there will be an admission fee which will get guests wristbands for guests to be able to come and go as they please. Proceeds from the event will support the Rochelle Area Community Foundation and its mission to strengthen its efforts to help the local community.
